An additional spray / priming line.
Existing equipment was reconfigured to create an additional water-based spray/priming line. It ran faster than the original spray setup.
Reconfiguration created additional useful production capacity.
The right coating for the process
Better drying. No blocking. Lower coating cost.
A customer's existing coating proved difficult to run in a board-coating application, with poor drying and blocking - coated surfaces sticking together after drying and stacking. Several trials identified an alternative that dried more effectively, avoided blocking, cost less and was less aggressive on the equipment.
Coating selection must fit the equipment and the full production process, including downstream handling.
